The DED stands for Department of Economic Development. They regulate the practice of business activities within Dubai.

What is the DTCM?

The DTCM stands for the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. They are the regulatory authority in Dubai regarding not only holiday homes but the whole tourism industry in the Emirate. All holiday home operators must obtain permits from them to operate for each unit they want to rent out. Those who do not obtain the permit are operating illegally.
